Milbank Middle School Band Members Earn Awards

The Milbank Middle School band members completed a successful 2015-2016 school year with numerous season-end awards.
Students earning all eight band practice belts were:
Sixth grader students – Maiah Brown, Madison Mathews, Taryn Dusky, Alexis Ninneman, Savannah Stengel, William Karels, Karson Weber, Bennett Schwenn, Benett Street, Hattie Muellenbach, Savanna Osowski, Dani Yamaura and Mariah Brandenburger.
Seventh grade students – Peyten Wiese, Camryn Phinney, Mason Riley, Logan Meyer, Jenna Johnson and Amaya Street.
Eighth grade students – Alaina Rausch, Bailey Frerichs, Amy Nelson and Stewart Loehrer.
Throughout the school year, musicians from the middle school were named musicians of the month. Earning that honor were the following:
Sixth grade – Hailey Hupke, Savanna Osowski, Bella Gresens, Savannah Stengel, Maiah Brown, Hattie Muellenbach, Jack Sandvig, and Alexis Ninneman. Savanna Osowski was the lucky winner of the Pizza Ranch gift certificate.
Seventh grade – Logan Meyer, Allison Leddy, Amaya Street, Peyten Wiese, Camryn Phinney, Max Liebe, Lars Andersen and Eric Van Sambeek. Lars Andersen was awarded the Pizza Ranch gift certificate.
Eighth grade – Landon Brown, Yulissa Ramierz-Sanchez, Joe Harstad, Elsie Rogers, Bailey Frerichs, Hali Anderson, Stewart Loehrer and JD Lusk. Joe Harstad won the gift certificate.
The middle school band students were instructed by Susan Karels.
