The boys and girls youth tennis leagues have begun for the summer. Weekly scores and standings for each league will be reported throughout the duration. Following are the results from week one.
“I encourage players to get their opponents called and play the make up matches as well as those that are aligned for this week,” noted Milbank High School tennis coach Jim Dahl. “Also, if players have not paid the league fee yet please get it to me.”
Maroon League – no reported scores.
Red League – Keaton Hagen defeated Alex Schuelke, 10-8.
Purple League – Joe Harstad won over Benett Street, 10-3; Marcos Basilio downed Christian Peery, 10-0; Micah Liebe defeated Will Karels, 10-3.
Gold League – Jamie DeVaal defeated Hallie Essington, 10-8; Tatiana Stemsrud won over Sarah Jarman, 10-2.
Blue League – Kaitlyn Schmitt defeated Hattie Muellenbach, 11-9.
Orange League – no reported scores.
