Milbank rolled to a 15-5 victory over Sisseton June 1, at Legion Field in Milbank. The locals ended the game early in the eighth inning. The Chiefs got out to a quick start with three runs in the opening inning. They added two in the second, one in the third, and two more in the fourth to go ahead 8-3. Milbank closed out the game with two more runs in the sixth and three in the seventh, before putting the game out of reach with two runs in the eighth.

Tony Hofman belted out three home runs to spark the Firechiefs. In addition, he tallied five hits, four runs, one double, and six RBIs. Taylor Boerger contributed four hits, two runs, three stolen bases, and two RBIs, and Lance Frogner added three hits including a double, one run, one stolen base and one RBI in the contest. Matt Stephan was close behind with two hits, three runs and one walk. Rounding out the 16 hits for the Chiefs were Ryan Conrad and Travis Lester with one each.

Dan Karges secured the win on the mound for Milbank. He went seven innings and sat down seven batters only giving up six hits, five runs, and two walks. Taylor Boerger finished the game with three strike-outs in the final inning.

Milbank split with Clark June 5, in a road contest. The locals won the first game 3-2 and fell 18-6 in the second game. The Chiefs scored three runs on eight hits in the first game and six runs on eight hits in the second.

Conrad led the Firechiefs with five hits, three runs- including a home run in the first game- and one RBI. Jeff Fish tallied three hits, two runs, one stolen base, one walk, and two RBIs. Hofman, Boerger, and Brock Gomer had two hits and Jesse Krause and Tyler Reil each had one.

Borger earned the win on the mound in the first game against Clark. He struck out nine hitters and allowed six hits, two runs, and four walks. Fish started on the mound for Milbank in the second game. He sat down five batters and gave up 13 hits, 10 runs and one walk. Frogner came in for the final inning and was credited with the loss on the mound.
