Dr. Travis Bjordahl began his dental career June 13, at Bierschbach Dental in Milbank. “I am excited to have Dr. Travis join our team,” said Dr. Mark Bierschbach, owner. “Adding him to the practice gives us the opportunity to treat patients more effectively and efficiently with expanded services possible. I look forward to working alongside him.”

Dr. Travis is the son of Dr. Kevin and Mary Bjordahl of Milbank. He grew up in Webster and Milbank and graduated from MHS in 2003. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND.

Travis earned his master’s degree in biology from the University of South Dakota and graduated from dental school at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry May 13, 2016.

“Someday I hope to own my own practice, but I am excited to work with Dr. Mark as my mentor as I start my career and get valuable experience under my belt,” said Dr. Travis. “This opportunity came along at a good time and is a good fit.”

Dr. Travis is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, a member of the American Dental Association, a member of the American Student Dental Association, and a student member of the South Dakota Dental Association.

Milbank has that feeling of community you cannot get from a big city.”

Dr. Bierschbach began his dental career in 1977. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota. and spent six years as a dentist in his hometown of Mobridge. He opened his practice in Milbank in September 1984.
