Lake Farley Park in Milbank will be the site of many  events on Monday, July 4. Activities start at 4 p.m.

Blues-rock music will be provided by Mark St. Martin and Jeremy DeVaal will lead Zumba from 8 to 9 p.m. The evening will conclude with a fireworks display at dusk sponsored by the Milbank Chamber.

Kids activities include: a candy toss, coin toss, treat walk, and beach races. A fishing tournament for toddlers to age 14 will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The tournament is sponsored by UPI of Milbank with help from Game, Fish and Parks. Fishing poles and bait will be provided. Registration will be at the park prior to the event. Each participant will receive a prize.

A free watermelon feed will take place. Concessions will be available throughout the day and treats will be provided by various fundraising groups. The Orphan Grain Train will sell frozen treats and the Milbank High School Arts Media Club will sell cotton candy.

“Let’s get back to the good old days of family fun,” stated organizers. “And enjoy hanging out at Lake Farley Park.”
