Berg Crop Insurance Named Champions Of Doc’s Softball Tournament

The 21st Annual Doc’s Men’s Softball Tournament took place Saturday, June 25, at Pribyl Park in Milbank. Berg Crop Insurance of LaBolt captured the title. Brass Monkeys from Hastings, MN, took second place and Paul’s Drywall of Watertown finished third.

Berg Crop Insurance outlasted the Brass Monkeys 13-12 in the championship tilt. Other scores in the winner’s’ bracket were: Paul’s Drywall over Enemy Swim, 14-4; Berg Crop Insurance over the Natives, 16-1; Paul’s Drywall over the Brass Rail, 13-1; Berg Crop Insurance over the Brass Monkeys, 11-2, and Berg Crop Insurance over Paul’s Drywall 15-3.

In the losers’ bracket, the Brass Rail defeated the Natives, 17-14; the Brass Monkeys downed Enemy Swim, 27-9; Enemy Swim edged out the Brass Rail, 13-12; the Brass Monkeys won over the Natives, 18-11; the Brass Monkeys defeated Enemy Swim, 18-1, and the Brass Monkeys slipped past Paul’s Drywall, 8-7.
