_DSC0074The MALST Lap-a-Thon sported 46 swimmers June 30. Nineteen swimmers made the top goal of 220 laps and 22 swimmers swam 110 lengths or more. Five participated with personal goals.

Head coach Jodi Street said, “220 laps is just over 3 miles, so this isn’t an easy goal to reach within the 2 hour time limit. They worked hard and I was impressed with how many surpassed the personal distance they set and kept making new goals as time allowed.

The Lap-a-thon is the team’s main fundraiser for the year. Funds from the event go towards equipment, pool rent, team events, and meet sanctioning fees.
