With just one week remaining, area youth continue to battle for the top spots in the Milbank youth tennis league. “Final week 7 ends Saturday,” mentioned MHS head tennis coach Jim Dahl. “All matches not made up from previous weeks will turn to forfeits against non-responding players.” Following are this week’s scores along with the standings after six weeks of play.

Purple League – Marcos Basilio defeated Will Karels, 10-1; Joe Harstad shutout Will Karels, 10-0.

Gold League –  Hallie Essington downed Rhianna Cantine, 10-6; Tatiana Stemsrud won over Jodi DeVaal, 10-3; Paige Johnson defeated Rhianna Welberg, 10-1; Jamie DeVaal outlasted Sarah Jarman, 10-2; Paige Johnson won over Tatiana Stemsrud, 10-2; Jamie DeVaal rolled over Rhianna Welberg, 10-3; Jodi DeVaal slipped past Hallie Essington, 10-7; Jamie DeVaal downed Rhianna Cantine, 10-4.
