South Dakota’s largest cornhole tournament is in Milbank. The event is slated for Saturday, July 16, at 11 a.m. at Lake Farley Park. The tournament is sponsored by the Milbank Area Chamber of Commerce and is part of the Lake Farley Summer Events Series.
Registrations are still being accepted for the tournament, according to Chamber Events Director Laura Kelly. “We will cap out the tournament at 32 teams. Teams must register in advance and will be taken on a first come, first serve basis.”
All teams in the round robin tournament will begin play at 11 a.m. Teams will be eliminated throughout the day with the champion and second place team named at approximately 3 p.m. The top team will receive $100 in Ol’ Mill Bucks and a trophy with bragging rights. The second place team will earn $50 in Ol’ Mill Bucks.
The Orphan Grain Train will sell ice cream treats. Players and attendees are welcome to bring food, beverages, and coolers.
