Children and families from Central United Methodist Church, Living Word Lutheran Church and American Lutheran Church in Milbank joined together and celebrated “In It, Not Of It” as its theme for Vacation Bible School. The theme’s meaning is we live IN the world, but are not OF the world. The four-day event took place at Central Church this year.
Centered around its theme, children ages three through fifth grade enjoyed a different topic each day. Monday, children learned about the World of Darkness. Tuesday, they explored the World and How it Makes us Wonder. Wednesday, the days event focused on the World Obsessed With The Perfect Look, and the final day, Thursday, children enjoyed The World That Puts Us As #1.
The younger group of children enjoyed music, crafts, games, stories and snacks with local leaders Kristy Liebe, Jenn Falk and Renae Wollschlager. A day camp for students in grades 1-5 was led by six college-age camp counselors from NeSoDak Bible Camp.
