The Milbank Area boys tennis tournament took place July 20, at Cantine Courts under the direction of Bulldog head tennis coach Jim Dahl. Players from Aberdeen, Watertown, and the Milbank area competed for the top three places in two different divisions. “It was a long, hard-fought day for place winners under intense heat,” stated Coach Dahl. “Plenty of fluids, a mist station, ice and cold towels, along with rest on changeovers, kept all players safe in the conditions.”

Jared Dale of Watertown was crowned champion of Division 1. Drew Veflin of Watertown took second place while Sam Mahowald of Watertown finished third. “Jared and Drew each had five matches from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. They are to be commended for their perseverance,” expressed Coach Dahl.

Adam Kays of Watertown captured the top honor in Division 2. Alex Schuelke of Milbank took second place and Ethan Dahl of Aberdeen finished third.
