Whimsy Kids, created and hosted by Whimsy on Main, will present its first theater production Sleeping Beauty. The cast of 29 children will take center stage Thursday, July 28, at 6:30 p.m. at the Central United Methodist Fellowship Hall. All are welcome to attend. There is no charge.

“I feel it’s important to give all children an opportunity to be on stage,” stated Amy Thue, owner of Whimsy on Main and director of the production. “There are so many talented kids in our community.”

Thue began directing children’s plays several years ago with the Milbank OST Program. “Our goal with Whimsy Kids is to perform plays three times a year. We hope to grow bigger and bigger and eventually be big enough to perform on the big stage at Milbank High School.”

The children are rehearsing each day this week and are also building the stage and sets and creating their costumes. For questions or more information, please contact Thue at 605-230-0477.
