Milbank Area Girls Tennis Tournament Winners Named

The Milbank Area girls tennis tournament took place Wednesday, July 27, at Cantine Courts under the direction of Bulldog head tennis coach Jim Dahl.

Paige Johnson of Milbank was crowned champion of the senior division. Molly Hacker took second place while Tatiana Stemsrud finished third.
In the junior division, Hallie Essington captured the championship title with Hattie Muellenbach placing second.

Milbank’s annual girls tennis camp preceded the tournament Monday and Tuesday, July 25-26. “Technique, skills and drills along with competitions took place,” explained Coach Dahl.

Hallie Essington and Molly Hacker were day one winners with four wins each. Paige Johnson was the top winner of day two with six wins. Others participating in the camp were Tatiana Stemsrud, Anna Hacker, Rhianna Cantine, Rhianna Welberg, Mackenzie Michels, Jenna Johnson and Hattie Muellenbach.
