Carolyn Christine was the first of five children born to Selmer Sr. and Christine Corhouse. She was born in Ypsilanti, North Dakota on May 28, 1929.
Life handed her many joys and many trials, of which she always handled with great courage. Of course, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her everything. She was known to not have favorites, but each one would beg to differ. She always said you can never spoil a child with love. She sure did try though.
One of her greatest joys in her later life was becoming Northridge Queen for Corn Festival in Ortonville. Carolyn also took great pride in her special caramel rolls that she made for her beloved Northridge family.
Carolyn is survived by her children: Michael Roggeman of New London, MN; Lanny Roggeman of Burnsville, MN; Robert (Mary Jo) Roggeman of Breckenridge, MN; Lynn (David) Sherod of New London, MN; Rebecca Sherod of Ortonville, MN; Denyce Roggeman (Kimber Roehl) of Ortonville, MN; and Lori (Michael) Negley of North Branch, MN; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Lou (Manford) Oyen of Mesa, Arizona, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one sister.
