The Milbank VFW Teener baseball team captured the Region 1 title and advance to the State A tournament in Lennox Friday-Sunday, August 5-7. Milbank defeated Mobridge 8-3 in the first game of the tournament before knocking out Sisseton 8-2 to capture the title. Milbank is tentatively slated to face Dell Rapids at noon on Friday.
Team members are: back row- assistant coach Dan Karges, Mitch Quade, Koben Huber, Tanner Bock, Jon Ash, Chandler Peery, Jake Fox, Riley Gauer and head coach Dustin Karges. Middle row – Cole Dockter, Gabe DeLaRosa, Connor VanVooren, Brodie Holtquist,and Tate Stricherz. Front row – Kacen Huber, Jake Karges, Brady Femling, and Gage Sayler.
