snake_oil_sinners_logoLove cars? Then cruise to Lake Farley this Saturday for the 29th Annual Car Show. Put on by the Full Throttle Car Club, the event is part of the Lake Farley Summer Event Series sponsored by the Milbank Area Chamber of Commerce. Registration begins at 1 p.m. and the show begins at 2 p.m. Awards will be presented at 5 p.m. “No pre-registration is required,” stated Milbank Chamber of Commerce Event Director Laura Kelly. “And there is no entry fee.”

Car enthusiasts can enter 13 categories. First place winners will be selected and a Best In Class will also be chosen. Each participant receives a dash plaque.

The 10th Annual Burnout competition follows the car show at 6:30 p.m. The deadline to enter is 6 p.m. There will be two classes in the competition – the 1-wheel Wonder and Posi. “Motorcycles are also welcome to enter the 1-wheel Wonder class,” said Kelly. The entry fee for the 1-wheel wonder is $10 and $15 for the Posi class. Cash prizes range from $25 to $300 in Ol’ Mill Bucks.

At 8 p.m., the gates open and it’s full speed ahead to the 3rd Annual Farley Rock Concert. Snake Oil takes the stage at 9 p.m. “People who have seen Snake Oil rave about the amazing show they put on,” said Kelly. “They are playing Sturgis just before Milbank, so get ready to rock with a two-hour show of lights, fog, and pyrotechnics.” From Canada, the band features Hair Rock, Melodic Rock, Metal, and Classic Rock from the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s. “We expect 400-500 people or more,” Kelly said.

Fans can enjoy food from Speedway and a beer and beverage garden during the Burnout and concert. Coolers will not be allowed inside the park. Attendees are asked to bring their own chair as seating will not be provided.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the day of the show. Click here to purchase tickets to the rock concert!
