The Milbank High School Lady Bulldogs volleyball season will get underway Thursday, August 11, with its first practice.
The following schedule has been set for athletes in grades 9 through 12 by head coach Nancy Hoeke.
Thursday, August 11: ImPact testing for grades 9 and 11 at 10 a.m.; 9th grade practice, 10:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; high school practice, 12:30-3:30 p.m.
Friday, August 12: All players grades 9-12 practice 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Monday, August 15: Practice 8:45-11:15 a.m.
Tuesday, August 16: Practice 9 a.m. to noon
Wednesday, August 17: Practice at 3 p.m.
Thursday, August 18: Practice at 3:20 p.m.; Mandatory parent/athlete meeting at 7:30 p.m.
Friday, August 19: Practice 9 a.m. to noon
Monday, August 22: Team and individual photos at 9 a.m. with practice following
Tuesday, August 23: C and JV team practice 9-11:15 a.m.; Varsity and JV practice 2:15-4:30 p.m. (some athletes may have two practices this day)
Wednesday, August 24: First day of school; practice at 3:20 p.m.
Coach Hoeke said, “Players must have 10 practices before the first match in order to play.” Players also need to complete and turn in athletic physical and physical updates prior to beginning practice. An athlete will not be allowed to practice until this requirement is completed.

The Lady Bulldogs will take the court in their first match of the season Thursday, August 25, at Agency Village. Milbank Area will face Tiospa Zina with the C team game beginning at 4:45 p.m.
