Honorary bearers will be: Steve Hillbrands, Warren Beck, Lloyd Tillma, his co-workers at Hardee’s, and all other family and friends. Casket bearers will be: Tony Korstjens, Al Drexler, Chuck Carl, Bryon Dahle, Tony Dahle, and Chad Haufschild.

Charles Patrick Korstjens was born November 13, 1970, in Ortonville, MN. He was the only child of Charles F. and Patricia (Carl) Korstjens. Chuck grew up on the family farm near Big Stone City. He attended school in Milbank and graduated from Milbank High School. He continued his education and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management.

Chuck was united in marriage with Janelle Dahle on July 14, 2007, in Watertown, SD. Chuck lived all his life on the family farm. He had a passion and love for farming. He also worked at Hardee’s in Milbank as a supervisor.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Janelle; his children: Nycole Korstjens, Jenna Korstjens, Jayden Korstjens; step sons: Alexis Gonzalez and Jordan Gonzalez, all of rural Big Stone City, SD; his parents: Charles and Patricia Korstjens of rural Big Stone City, SD; maternal grandmother, Irene Carl of Wilmot, SD; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Allen and Pat Dahle of Watertown, SD; brothers –in-law and sisters-in-law: Bryon and Dawn Dahle of Watertown, SD; Angie and Chad Haufschild of Lake Norden, SD; Tony and Vanessa Dahle of Aurora, SD; as well as five nieces, two nephews, and numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Chester Carl and Francis Korstjens; and his paternal grandmother, Agatha Korstjens.
