Chamber Annual Meeting to Feature Gift Bag Auction

The Milbank Area Chamber of Commerce will host its annual meeting Thursday, September 22, at the Speedway Event Center. The social hour begins at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Gift bags go up for auction after the meal with all proceeds going to the Grant County Food Pantry. “This is an interactive way to conclude our annual meeting,” said chamber directors Laura Kelly and Chelcie Eischens.

Each business is asked to fill a decorated gift bag. Bags can represent the donating business or just be filled with items of your choice. Bidders will not be told what is in the bag. Businesses are asked to drop off their gift bags at the chamber office by Tuesday, September 20.

Tickets for the evening are $20 and include the meal. All chamber business owners, employees, and their spouses or significant others are invited to attend. Tickets can be purchased at the chamber office or from any chamber board member. Members of the board include: Abbey Angerhofer, president; Chris Kelly, past president; Denice Hooth, vice president; Dan Sorenson, treasurer; and Alesia Christenson, Jeremy Johnson, Jason Mischel, Chely Wellnitz, and Cheri Meagher.
