Who Says There’s No Such Thing as a Free Lunch??

Guadalupe’s is new. It’s authentic Mexican food. It’s in the Milbank Mall. And this Saturday it’s free! Guadalupe’s is serving free lunch this Saturday during their Grand Opening.

Owner and head cook, Esther Ramirez, will open her kitchen this Saturday, October 1, from 11 a.m until 1 p.m. “In Mexico, when there is a Grand Opening, everything is free. It’s a big party for the customers. So, come and enjoy the food.”

The buffet style meal will feature some of Ramirez’s specialties- pork ribs in green salsa, Mexican style beef and ground beef, and chicken taquitos. “I will not make it too hot,” Ramirez promised. We will have extra salsas to spice it up.” Mexican fruit drinks will also cool things down. Desserts will be tres leches cake and fruit tarts – traditional Mexican Grand Opening treats.

Ramirez has plenty of people to assist her and extra tables to accommodate the crowd. Seating will extend throughout the mall corridor. “All our workers and many of the Mexican workers from Valley Queen will help,” she said. “People come help me and I help them. We help everyone and make it feel like family.”

Guadalupe’s opened their doors in August and has stayed busy. Hours are: Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
