Youth Celebrate 4-H Week With Bike/Walk To School Event

In honor of National 4-H Week, William Karels coordinated Bike & Walk to School Day. The day promoted safer routes to school, healthier habits, and students gathering for plain old fun. The event also focused on reducing the number of child pedestrians and bicyclists injured around the world.

“William hosted this event as a continuation of the 4-H Bike Rodeo to remind students of bike safety,” stated William’s mother and 4-H leader, Susan Karels. “He plans to continue the event each year during National 4-H Week and hopes participation will grow.
