img_3001Fifteen Milbank Middle School band students were selected for the Eastern Dakota Junior Music Festival. The festival included band students from Northeast schools in South Dakota. John Laughlin, Sioux Falls Memorial Middle School Band Director, was the guest conductor. The culminating concert took place October 11, at the Arlington school. Milbank Area students were accompanied to Arlington by Susan Karels, Milbank Middle/High School Band Director.

Seventh grade students attending were: Mariah Brown (flute), Taryn Dusky (clarinet), Savannah Stengel (clarinet), Hailey Hupke (trombone), William Karels (tuba), and Jack Sandvig (percussion). Eighth grade students were: Camryn Phinney (clarinet), Peyten Wiese (clarinet), Siri Bien (alto sax), Mason Riley (tenor sax), Lars Andersen (bari sax), Aiden Boerger (French horn), Logan Meyer (trombone), Drake Rogers (tuba), and Madi Thue (percussion).
