The Milbank Middle School student council spearheaded an effort to help restock the Grant County Food Pantry.
“Each homeroom of the sixth, seventh, and eighth grades was given an incentive to bring items to donate to the food pantry,” explained middle school counselor Heidi Wellnitz. “Any homeroom that brought more than 25 items received a reward. The kids did an excellent job.”
Items requested were: toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, hand soap, dish soap, paper plates, laundry soap, and deodorant. Over 200 items were donated.
