angel_treeFamilies needing help with Christmas presents for their children are encouraged to apply for the Grant County Christian Service Council’s Angel Tree Project. The Angel Tree gives clothes and toys to families who otherwise would not receive Christmas presents. Donations provided nearly 200 children with gifts last year.

Applications are now being accepted through the Inter-lakes Community Action office in the Grant County Courthouse. Completed forms must be turned in to Heather Rise by Tuesday, November 4. “If applications are not completed and turned in by that deadline, they will not be accepted,” Rise said.

A card with the child’s needs, clothing sizes, and interests will be hung on a Christmas tree at the three local banks in Milbank – Great Western Bank, First Bank and Trust, and Wells Fargo. Beginning the week of Thanksgiving, donors can chose a card and purchase gifts for that child. Wrapped gifts must be returned back to the bank and placed under the tree by Monday, December 12.

For more information or questions, contact Rise at 605-432-6571.
