The sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students from Milbank Middle School completed their first community service project of the year. Their aid will go to people affected by Hurricane Matthew.
The sixth grade students donated money to purchase items from Family Dollar in Milbank. Seventh and eighth grade students purchased items and brought them to school. The seventh grade students also boxed up the items to be shipped.
The students purchased and donated items such as: washcloths, shampoo, deodorant, soap, combs, cotton swabs, and baggies. Johnson Family Dentistry donated toothbrushes, toothpaste, and dental floss. Three large boxes were filled and will be shipped to Hope for Haiti.
