The Milbank Area Lady Bulldogs completed their regular volleyball season with a 17-6 record and a perfect record in the Northeast Conference. Number two Groton Area will take on number seven Tiospa Zina in the first game at 4:30 p.m. Number three Webster Area will face number six Britton-Hecla in the second game of the night. The opening night concludes with number four Aberdeen Roncalli battling number five Sisseton.
The winners of each first round match will advance to the semi-finals on Thursday, November 3. Milbank Area takes on the winner of Roncalli/Sisseton at 6 p.m. The second semi-final match follows.
This year, Class A Volleyball made the switch to a Sweet 16 tournament. So, the two teams that win on Thursday will advance. The final 16 teams in the state who remain will then be re-seeded and the Sweet 16 games will all be played Thursday, November 10. The eight teams that win their Sweet 16 games will advance to the State Class A volleyball tournament slated for November 17-19 in Watertown.
