Speakers Lead Toastmasters Meeting

The Babbel-Ons Toastmasters Club met Thursday, November 17, in the State Auto cafeteria with Karla Wellnitz serving as the Toastmaster.
The word of the day was “Sagacious” which means ‘Having or showing keen mental discernment and good judgment, shrewd’. The word Sagacious was used three times during the meeting.

Speakers of the day were Kayla Pinkert and Dave Schaack. Kayla presented Project 7 from the competent communicator manual. Her speech was titled “Current Animal Cruelty Laws in SD.” Dave presented Project 1 from the Speeches by Management Manual. His speech was titled “Every Officer Role is Important.”

Dana Junker was the table topics master. Those participating in table topics were Talia Athey, Chelsy Baugh, Dana Junker, Ashley Frerichs, Jessica Roggenbuck, Dave Schaack, Kayla Pinkert and Karla Wellnitz.

The next meeting will be on Thursday December 1, at noon in the State Auto cafeteria.
