The Milbank Area Chamber of Commerce takes you to a Winter Wonderland this Saturday, December 3. Free sleigh rides begin at 4 p.m. in front of ITC on Main Street. The chamber is also bringing back the Light Parade. The Parade travels north down Main Street at 5 p.m.
Shoppers are invited to shop local at Milbank businesses throughout the day. “We encourage you to visit our wonderful businesses and stop to to admire their storefronts, shop local, enjoy Christmas goodies, and sign up for gift baskets to be given away by participating stores,” said Milbank Chamber Event Director Laura Kelly.
Then, take the whole family to a Holiday Gathering at the Speedway immediately following the parade. Supper will be served in exchange for a free-will donation. Join the cookie and ornament decorating, a festive photo booth, and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Turkey Bingo begins at 6:30 p.m. Winners from the parade, storefront decorating contest, and business gift basket giveaways will also be announced at Speedway.

Prize categories include: Best Teen, Best Public, Best Business, and a People’s Choice award. Prizes for the teen and public category are assorted gift baskets. The winner of Best Business receives next year’s base chamber membership free of charge – a $200 value. The grand prize of $500 in Ol’ Mill Bucks goes to the People’s Choice winner.
