Beulah O. Jensen, age 93 of Wilmot who died December 7, 2016, at the Golden Living Center.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 10 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wilmot Community Center. Burial will be in the Wilmot City Cemetery. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the start of the service.
Casket bearers will be Beulah’s grandsons: Bob Sorenson, Daniel Jensen, Andrew Jensen, Brad Eckel, Mark Jones and James Remund.
Beulah Orista (Hatlestad) Jensen was born June 20, 1923, in Havana, ND. She was the daughter of Robert and Julia (Erickson) Hatlestad. She attended rural school in Toronto, SD through the 8th grade. She was united in marriage to David Jensen on October 15, 1942. To this union three children were born: Joyce, Dale and Wayne.
Beulah was a homemaker that worked alongside her husband on the family farm her entire married life. She enjoyed baking bread and was well known for her love of quilting. She was also known for her ability to embroider and gave many embroidered dish towels to family and friends.
She will be remembered for having a heart of gold, her willingness to help others and caring for many family members in sickness. Her family meant the world to her and was happiest when spending time with them or winning a game of Yahtzee!
Left to cherish her memory are her three children: Joyce Sorenson of Wilmot, SD; Dale (Karen) Jensen of Wilmot, SD; Wayne Jensen of Ephrata, WA; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
Beulah was preceded in death by her parents: Robert and Julia (Erickson) Hatlestad; husband David Jensen; one grandson LeRoy and wife Gigi Sorenson; five brothers; two sisters; Father and Mother in Law Hans and Teckla (Ekman) Jensen and one Son in Law Fred Sorenson.
