_dsc0083Koch School elementary students in kindergarten through fifth grade held their annual Christmas sing-a-long Wednesday, December 21. Music teacher, Dave Boerger, directed.

Starting the program were the kindergarten and first grade students. Each grade presented a poem and music. The kindergarten students sang Jingle Bells and the first-graders sang Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Suzy Snowflake, Winter Wonderland and Have a Holly Jolly Christmas.

The second-graders recited a poem and sang There Was a Little Baby and Away in a Manger. Third grade students donned reindeer antlers, paws, and tails as they presented their poem and sang Reindeer Love To Boogie and Reindeer Hokey Pokey. Fourth-graders recited their class poem and sang Silent Night and Go Tell it on the Mountain.

Throughout the program, the fifth-graders accompanied the students with musical instruments and solos. The class also presented their poem and sang Jingle Bell Jukebox and Jingle Bell Rock. Group selections featured Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, Silver Bells, Nuttin’ for Christmas, Rusty Chevrolet, and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.
