Anderson Lifts Bulldog Grapplers

Milbank High School senior Jake Anderson led the Bulldogs at the Floyd Farrand Invitational wrestling meet at Sioux Falls Lincoln High School December 29 through December 30. Anderson earned a third place medal.

Six other grapplers earned medals in the tournament. Eli Fischer and Koben Huber finished fourth in their respective weight classes and Jose Chen captured seventh place. Tyler Krause, Cole Dockter, and Taran Mogard each finished eighth.

The Bulldogs scored 84.5 points for tenth place in the team standings. Sturgis won the tournament with 193 points. Watertown was second with 184 and Vermillion was third with 162.5.

“Our guys competed and battled to finish tenth,” stated Bulldog head coach Jeremy Tostenson. “It was nice to get back into action on the mat.”
