The Grant County Public Library will begin a program inspired by Janette Oke’s bestselling series about the Canadian West. The program begins Wednesday, January 11, at 12:30 p.m. It continues each Wednesday – January 11, 18, and 25.
When Calls The Heart tells the story of Elizabeth, a young teacher accustomed to high society life, who is assigned her first classroom in a small coal mining town. The story opens with a mine explosion causing the death of a dozen miners. A newly widowed, Abigail, must go to work in the mine to keep a roof over her family’s head.
