Bulldogs Grapplers Gain Experience

The Milbank Bulldog wrestling team went 2-1 at the Sioux Valley Quadrangular on January 5. They were 1-3 at the Big Stone Therapies Border Battle January 7, at the Milbank Armory.

In Volga during the Sioux Valley quadrangular, Milbank defeated Sioux Valley 48-30 before falling 38-31 to Redfield-Doland. The Dawgs came back to dominate Warner-Northwestern 72-12.

Eli Fischer, Tyler Krause, Jake Anderson, Cole Dockter, and Koben Huber were 3-0. Toby Schneck and Jose Chen finished 2-1. JD Lusk, Taran Mogard, and Ben Nelson went 1-2. Also securing wins for the Bulldogs were Jordan Lindberg (1-0), Kaden Krause (1-0), Alec Bien (1-0), Riley Folk (1-0) and Angel Chen (1-1). Breyden Miller and Elijah Fraasch also competed for Milbank.

Milbank hosted the Big Stone Therapies Wrestling Border Battle Saturday, January 7, at the Milbank Armory. The Dawgs fell 1-3. The Bulldogs lost 55-24 to the Dawson-Boyd, Lac Qui Parle, Montevideo United team to start the day. Milbank came back to down Border West 54-24. They finished with a 55-18 loss to Marshall, Minnesota, and a 45-36 loss to Sioux Falls Washington.

Eli Fischer and Jake Anderson led the Dawgs with a 4-0 record. Alec Bien finished 3-1. Toby Schneck, Cole Dockter, and Koben Huber went 2-2. JD Lusk, Taran Mogard, and Ben Nelson ended 1-3 and Jose Chen was 0-4. Other grapplers competing for Milbank were Tyler Krause (1-0), Breyden Miller (0-3), Riley Folk (2-0), and Angel Chen (0-1).
