Milbank Middle School students, William Karels and Aiden Boerger, were selected for the South Dakota Middle School All-State Band Festival. Over 500 musicians from 85 schools auditioned.
Karels, a seventh grader, will play second chair tuba in the Honor Band. Boerger, an eighth grader, will play third chair french horn in the Festival Band.
The 18th annual event will be held March 3 and 4 at Huron High School and is sponsored by the South Dakota Music Education Association. Susan Karels will accompany William and Aiden to the event.
