MHS Career Day is Wednesday, February 15, from 10 a.m. to noon and is designed to inspire both students and speakers. On one hand, it exposes students to different occupations. On the other hand, Milbank area businesses can showcase their work, their journey to becoming a professional, and meet ambitious and enthusiastic potential employees.

“It’s important we let our youth know we value their future worth as skilled employees,” stated GCDC Executive Director Bobbie Bohlen during the January meeting of the Grant County Commissioners. “We also want to impress upon them that our area has all kinds of opportunities and we need them to come back to the community and thrive as adults.”

Industries to be highlighted include: agriculture, education, hospitality, manufacturing, construction, finance, human services, marketing, arts, government, engineering and mathematics, law, public safety, and health sciences.

Career Day is sponsored by the Grant County Development Corporation in conjunction with the Milbank, Grant-Deuel, Summit, and Wilmot schools.

“We welcome any business that wants to take part in this annual event,” stated Bohlen. Contact Bohlen, at gcdc@itcmilbank.com or 605-438-4232. The deadline to register is Friday, February 3.
