Thomas Mack, age 66 of Big Stone City died February 4, 2017, at his residence.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 11 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic in Ortonville. Father Brian Oestreich will officiate.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 10 from 5 – 7 p.m. at Mundwiler and Larson Funeral Home. A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church on Saturday, one hour prior to the Mass.

Tom Mack was born May 16, 1950 in Ortonville, MN. He was the first born to Earl and Delores (Keeler) Mack. Tom was baptized at home with his siblings, and confirmed at the Methodist Church in Ortonville. He attended Ortonville High School.

Tom was united in marriage to Mary Schell for 15 years, and to this union three children were born: Becky, Tommy, and Jimmy.

Tom worked for Dakota Granite for 42 years. He was a dedicated and hard worker. He prided himself in his work and doing a job well done.

Tom was always willing to help someone in need. He was selfless and caring. He never turned down a good meal, and liked to watch the History and American Hero channels. Tom liked to hunt, fish, and read history books.

Tom took pride and joy in his Granddaughters: Arianna and Erica. “He will always be their Grandpa and they his little Angels”.

Left to cherish his memory is his children: Becky of Big Stone City, SD, Tommy of Big Stone City, SD, and Jimmy of Grand Forks, ND; former wife, Mary Mack of Big Stone City, SD; granddaughters: Arianna (Chris) Street of Revillo, SD; and Erica Mack of Big Stone City; grandson, Xavier Mack of Barry, MN; great-grandson, Braeden Street of Revillo, SD; sister, Karen Mack of Ortonville, MN; brother, Tim Mack of Bellingham, MN; nieces: Missi (Keith) Misemer, Sara Griffith, and Jody Fore; nephew, Josh Griffith; as well as many extended family and friends.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents: Earl and Delores Mack.
