Middle School Musicians Perform Well-Known Tunes

Musicians of the Month were recognized during the Middle School mid-winter concert Monday, February 6. Band students honored for December were Maurina Street, Kellen Hoeke, and Maci Priebe. January recipients were Aiden Ludvigson, William Karels, and Halli Essington. Choir musicians of the month for December were Ashlyn O’Farrell, Savanna Osowski, and Amaya Street. January honorees were Elsie Seffrood, Nick Batchelor, and Allison Leddy.
Choir highlights included the sixth-graders’ Don’t Worry Be Happy, the seventh-graders’ performance of Eye of the Tiger with Mariah Madsen as a featured soloist, and the eighth-graders’ We Didn’t Start the Fire.
Other favorites included Funkytown and We Will Rock You by the sixth grade band, the seventh- graders’ Mission Impossible, and the eighth grade band rocking two pep band numbers.
The seventh and eighth grade students joined together for Arabian Dances and 25 or 6 to 4. Camry Phinney played a solo on clarinet and Maiah Brown played a solo on flute.
