The local D.A.R.E. Program will be recognized during the Milbank High School boys basketball game Friday, February 10, at the MHS Armory.
“We invite all past and present D.A.R.E. students to come join the fun while supporting our Milbank Bulldogs,” stated Police Chief Boyd VanVooren. “This night is also a time to celebrate making good decisions and sticking to pledges made. Everyone makes mistakes. It’s important to learn from them and move forward with making those good decisions.”

Law enforcement will be present to talk with students and fans. They will serve chocolate malts, which are free to any D.A.R.E. students. Adults and others who would like a malt, may receive one for a $2 donation to the program.

In addition, students will be able to sign a D.A.R.E. banner and commit to making good choices. All D.A.R.E. students, past and present will gather to sing the National Anthem prior to tipoff.

“This year’s senior class was my first D.A.R.E. class I taught when I first moved to Milbank,” noted VanVooren. “That makes this night pretty special.”
