Four students from St. Lawrence School in Milbank will sing with contemporary Christian artist Mark Schultz during his Gift of Hope concert at the Sioux Falls O’Gorman Performing Arts Center. The concert, a benefit for Catholic Family Services, set for Sunday, March 19, quickly sold out and a second performance was created at 5:30 p.m. Mark Schultz is an internationally known singer, songwriter, and performing artist. Some of his songs include You are a Child of Mine, He’s My Son, Walking Her Home, and Love Has Come.

Four students from each of the 27 East River Diocesan schools will perform in the children’s choir with Schultz. Marianna Fonder, Jayden Johnson, Aiden Ludvigson, and Camryn Wiese will represent St. Lawrence School. “These students – two boys and two girls – were chosen from the fifth and sixth grade classes based on their musicianship, vocal ability, and enthusiasm for singing,” stated St. Lawrence School music teacher Elizabeth Schulte.
The Gift of Hope Fund supports people of all faiths, ages, and walks of life who experience grief, despair, abuse, loss, or pain of separation. Concert-related expenses are financially sponsored or donated, allowing 100% of all proceeds to go to the Gift of Hope Fund.

Catholic Family Services provides help to those who can’t afford counseling or those who are hopeless and need someone to listen to them to help them through their grief. Tickets may be purchased online by clicking here.
