Author and Illustrator Visits Koch School

Students and staff at Koch Elementary School in Milbank are enjoying a week of activities and dress up days in celebration of Read Across America from February 27 through March 3. The highlight has been a presentation by Debbie Hoven, author and illustrator from Alexandria, Minnesota.

Hoven has written and illustrated two children’s books geared towards preschool and kindergarten age children. The magical light bulbs in Light Up the Year help children learn about the months of the year in a creative and playful way. Her lovable Lab, Norman, leads readers through busy days of living at the lake in Norman Loves the Lake.
