Rosella Caroline Butzin, 85, of Carlton, MN, died peacefully Friday, March 10, 2017 in Inter-Faith Care Center where she had been a resident for the past five years. She was born on a farm in Revillo, South Dakota on December 28, 1931. Rosella attended Young America School through the 8th grade. She moved to Cloquet in 1959 and retired from Diamond Brands in Cloquet with 40 years of service.

Rosie enjoyed listening to music, Christian Worship Hour, jigsaw puzzles, coloring, sewing, reading her Bible, Lawrence Welk show and having company. As a resident of Inter-Faith Care Center, she enjoyed bingo and looked forward to Lulla and Bonnie playing cards with her at each visit. Rosie never married, drove a car, or had children but she had a nephew, Shane, born on her birthday. She could be demanding at times but had a loving and generous heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Augusta Butzin; brother, Ervin and a sister, Freda.

Rosella in survived by her brother, Herbert; sisters, Ella, Lulla and Eva and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2017 in Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet. Interment will be in Revillo Cemetery, Revillo, South Dakota, following the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 17, 2017 in Mundwiler Funeral Home in Milbank, South Dakota.
