The Grant-Deuel School team won the donkey basketball mini-tournament at Milbank High School on March 14. The tournament was sponsored by the Bulldogs Fighting Cancer team.
In the opening game, MHS students and the MHS faculty tied at the end of regulation. To settle the tie, senior Matt Lenards and middle school teacher Josh Schmeichel faced off in an arm wrestling contest. Lenards narrowly captured the win. The MHS students advanced to the championship.
In the second game, the Grant-Deuel team took on the Milbank Fire Department. The Wildcats secured the victory. They advanced to battle the MHS students. Grant-Deuel took home the win.
