Ten of the 20 qualifiers from the Milbank Wrestling Booster Club earned a top eight finish at the State AAU wrestling tournament in Rapid City March 25-26. Brodie Holtquist led the way with a championship title at the Cadets 170- pound division. Earning runner-up titles were Owen Fischer (Midgets 59 lbs), Carter Gloe (Midgets 96 lbs), and Angel Chen (Cadets 285 lbs).
Toby Schneck (Schoolboys 130 lbs) took third place; Joe French (Midgets 104 lbs), fifth place; Brayden Christensen (Novice 82 lbs), fifth place; Jesse Schneck (Midgets 113 lbs), sixth place; Tommy Holtquist (Cadets 98 lbs), sixth place; and Dillon Schneck (Cadets 160 lbs), seventh place.
Others competing in the state tournament were: Lawson Novy, Samuel Garcia, Andrew Folk, Landon Novy, Barrett Schneck, Kaden Krause, Noah Garcia, Layton Raffety, Michael Karges, and Thomas Steltz.
