The St. Lawrence School Student Council filled spring baskets to donate to the Grant County Food Pantry. The council requested donations of new outdoor items for kids such as sidewalk chalk, Frisbees, balls, hula hoops, baseball bases, sand toys, bubbles, sunglasses, water bottles, and kites and other outdoor activities. The project was chosen to encourage kids to get outside and play.
“It’s just unbelievable how much was donated,” stated Susie Wendland, student council adviser for St. Lawrence School. St. Lawrence School Principal Brenda Anderson added, “We had parishioners coming in with their hands full of items. It was so awesome, and we are so thankful.” The student council also used money raised at their school store for the project.
