Koch Students Entertained by Teddy Roosevelt

Third through fifth grade students at Koch Elementary School attended the assembly Every Hero Has a Story: Theodore Roosevelt on April 21. The event was brought to Milbank by the Dakota Assemblies group and paid for by the Koch Elementary PPE group.
According to fourth grade teacher Sara VanMeter, “The speaker, Arch Ellwein, is a returning favorite.” Ellwein, an actor and director, gives a first person portrayal of Theodore Roosevelt. He explains, as a boy, Theodore Roosevelt was asthmatic, sickly, nearsighted, clumsy, and weak, He overcame his challenges to become the 26th President of the United States.
