The MHS girls golf team improved their scores despite cold weather conditions during the Poet Invitational. The lone home meet of the season was played at Pine Hills Golf Course in Milbank on Monday, April 24.
“Once again, I am happy with our play,” stated head coach Mark Keeton. “Many of our golfers lowered their score from last week. As a team, we were three strokes better.”
Kylie Kasuske led the way for Milbank with a third place finish and an 18-hole score of 101. Alaina Rausch finished sixth with a personal best, 107. Clare Van Dover finished the day with a 116. Mikaela Hoeke shot a 122, and Korinne Roggenbuck had a 164.
Milbank placed third in the team standings with a 446. Sisseton won the team title with a 430, and Madison was second with a 439. Aberdeen Roncalli scored a 480. Redfield-Doland and Groton Area were also represented, but did not field complete teams.
Milbank will be back in action Thursday, April 27, in Redfield at the Fischer Grove Golf Course.
