MMS Band End Year With Awards

The Milbank Middle School band students completed a successful 2016-2017 school year, and were recognized by their director, Susan Karels.

Students who earned all eight karate belts this year were sixth grade students Laney Forrette, Madisen Frerichs, Aiden Ludvigson, Gauge Stengel, Maurina Street, Maddie Tesch and Camryn Wiese; seventh grade students Maiah Brown, William Karels, Hattie Muellenbach, Savanna Osowski and Savannah Stengel; eighth grade students Halli Essington, Logan Meyer, Camryn Phinney, Amaya Street, Amber Unzen and Peyten Wiese.

Musicians of the month for sixth grade were Addie Farrell, Max Lightfield, Carter Phinney, Maurina Street, Aiden Ludvigson, Gauge Stengel, Ximena Loranzo and Luis Berrones. The lucky winner of the Pizza Ranch gift certificate was Max Lightfield.

Musicians of the month for seventh grade were Isaac Sousa, Karson Weber, Madison Mathews, Kellen Hoeke, William Karels, Natalie Meyer, Shaylee Pekelder and Taryn Dusky. The winner of the PIzza Ranch gift certificate was William Karels.

Musicians of the month for eighth grade were Amber Unzen, Jared Johnson, Aiden Boerger, Maci Priebe, Halli Essington, Mackenzie Michels, Jessica Van Peursem and Drake Rogers. The winner of the Pizza Ranch certificate was Maci Priebe.
