Ten students from the Milbank High School choir were selected into the 44th annual South Dakota Honor Choir, according to MHS choir director Miriam Schwenn.

The students auditioned for the choir earlier this year by preparing a solo, taking a written test, sight-singing and being evaluated on their tonal memory. Auditions were open to any sophomore or junior choir member within the state of South Dakota.

This year’s honor choir event will take place July 30 through August 4 on the campus of Northern State University with Dr. Sharon Hanson serving as the guest conductor.
