Milbank High School boys basketball coaches Matt Bastian and Ryan Scoular conducted a basketball camp for athletes in grades 3 through 6. They focused on the fundamentals of the game and team play. “The boys have been great to work with and have shown a great deal of enthusiasm to get better each day,” stated Bastian.
Third and fourth grade players who took part in the camp include: (back l. to r.) Bennett Graham, Drew Anderson, Parker Grabow, Mason Locke, Noah Falk, Preston Laskowski, Cody Kasuske and Jaxson Wiese. Bastian also rated the fifth and sixth grade camp a success. “The boys learned some of the finer parts in developing their fundamentals,” he said. “They also competed with their teams during the week for trophies in the fastbreak league, defense, and rebounding. A team champion was also crowned.” Conner Stricherz was selected as Mr. Hustle, and James Batchelor won the Coaches’ Award.
