The Grant County 4-H Office is holding a Kid Kare babysitting workshop on Monday, June 12, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Grant County Courthouse community room. The workshop includes sessions on caring for infants and young children, safe cooking, basic first aid, emergency preparedness, and social engagement.

The workshop is open for youth fifth grade and older. “Babysitting is not just a job, it’s a responsibility,” stated Sara Koepke, Grant County 4-H Youth Program Advisor. “Many youth are considering this service to earn spending money this summer. It’s an opportunity for them to gain the skills to be successful.”

Kid Kare registration must be completed by Thursday, June 1. The workshop is limited to the first 25 registrants. Participants are asked to bring a sack lunch. There is no registration fee as this program is funded through Thrivent Financial. For more information or to register, contact the Grant County 4-H Office at 605-432-9221.
